2 Tim. 1:12, For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. NKJV
It is so easy as a GREAT LEADER to be tempted to get caught up in “MOMENTS”. Moments are important, but when we live in moments we take our eyes off the journey.
The great successes in the Word of God walked the journey, not just the moments.
God’s purposes are completed through the JOURNEY, not just the high points, or the low points, but the WHOLE.
Noah – Gen. 6 – build an ark! What’s an ark?
- He was about 500 years old when he was given the directive, and he was to build a boat that was 450x75x45 – Never had rain fallen, he was rejected, he was mocked, and it took up to 75 years to build it. NO DEWALT POWER TOOLS!
- If Noah had not been faithful and passionate about the vision then none of us would be here. If he would have been living in the moments, then discouragement would have overtaken him and the vision would never have been completed. We would all be dead!
Abram – Gen 12 – get out of your country! To where? I’ll show you…
- It was about 500 miles – with his entire family, flocks and servants. It was a huge undertaking – BUT HE BEGAN THE JOURNEY!
Joseph – Gen 37 – The vision was given! Sold into slavery, sold again, falsely accused, thrown in prison, forgotten, RAISED UP, delivered the entire nation of Israel.
MINISTRY IS A JOURNEY……..
We will cover more GIANTS and their JOURNEY’S in the next post!
